Nduku Diana Muthusi is a Research and Development Specialist and the Head of Programs at Nala Center. She oversees a diverse portfolio of initiatives aimed at bridging the gap between scholarly inquiry and sustainable, community-centered development. With an interdisciplinary background in Cultural Anthropology, Sociology, and Political Science, Diana brings a rigorous, multi-lens approach to addressing complex social and structural challenges within African contexts.

Throughout her career, Diana has spearheaded research efforts in climate adaptation mapping, archival medical research, and public library ecosystems. Her expertise lies in the strategic coordination of multidisciplinary projects, stakeholder engagement, and the translation of qualitative data into actionable policy insights. She is recognized for her ability to navigate complex research environments while maintaining the highest standards of data integrity and institutional confidentiality.

Diana is currently a VLIR-UOS Scholar at KU Leuven (Belgium), where she is undertaking her Master’s degree in Cultural Anthropology and Development Studies. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Political Science from The Catholic University of Eastern Africa. A passionate advocate for social justice and equitable development, Diana is dedicated to strengthening institutional capacity and fostering programs that generate practical, long-term impact.
