Safia Sheikh

Safia Sheikh is a writer and migration researcher whose own experience has led her to reflect on the possibility that migration is not only about crossing geographical borders, but also about inner transformation. After all, we do not migrate as empty vessels; we carry inherited narratives, internalized beliefs, perceptions, and interpretations that continue to shape how we experience new places and opportunities. Through research and writing, she seeks to understand how the stories we inherit shape the lives we live, and how becoming aware of them can open up the possibility of seeing ourselves and the world differently.
